On our most recent visit to MK we got to witness Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away. Magic Kingdom’s current nighttime parade at Walt Disney World.

It officially debuted on July 20, 2025, becoming the park’s first new nighttime parade in nearly a decade. It is designed as a modern successor to classics like the Main Street Electrical Parade and SpectroMagic, combining thousands of programmable lights, video elements, illuminated costumes, and an original soundtrack

Marquee sign for the parade.

The parade’s story centers on the Blue Fairy, whose magic brings a collection of Disney dreams and wishes to life. Featured units represent:

COCO

Encanto

Frozen

Moana

Peter Pan

Classic characters including Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto.

The actual procession takes roughly 12 minutes to pass a single viewing location, though it takes longer for the parade to travel the complete route. The parade travels from Main Street, U.S.A. toward Frontierland, passing through the castle hub and Liberty Square.

Disney Starlight is a wonderful addition to Magic Kingdom and a welcome return of a nighttime parade, but it's not quite Paint the Night. The floats are very impressive, and the presentation fits the park well. It is certainly worth your time, especially if you are entering early for After Hours. Make sure to check it out!
