Trip Report: Our Visit to Kings Dominion

Dominator has quite the presence in the park's Skyline.

Pretty entry marquee.

Good morning from Kings Dominion!

First impression: WOW. This place is pretty.

The Mexican food in candy apple grove may be the best in the park.

Make sure to check out the Ferris wheel at Kings Dominion, especially if the tower is closed. It gives great views.

Pretty fun for a wild mouse. It has quite the line.

A little rough around the edges. I enjoyed King's Island's version more. It was dueling, though.

These scare me.

The thematics at Twisted are almost as good as the ride.

Love the marquee.

This is like mini-steve. It's great. Probably top 10 RMC for me.

This thing literally throws you out of your seat. It's wild.

So much energy in this park.

They have this if you like water rides. I'm sure it's a good time.

If a barbershop quartet met a group of singing animatronic mushrooms, it'd probably look a lot like this. Top 5 in the park for me.

The maintenance team looking for the bones Snoopy burried.

I can't say enough about what KD has done with Jungle X. It's remarkable. Hopefully we continue to see this trend throughout more of the park.

It even carried in to the gift shop.

Then you have this. It was about as good as it looks.

Mini-Canada's Wonderland.

This was A LOT. A lot of fun too. So much fun that I only did it once.

So forceful..

Meh... this one does offer rides with the lights on, though, if your in to that.

It was time for the best wing coaster I've done to date.

The launch was really fun. It's truly in a great setting.

Love the nods to Volcano in the queue.

I really appreciate the work KD put into the signage for Jungle X. It looks fantastic.

I hope this thing sticks around. There are only a few of them left. We really enjoyed it.

Very wack and fun experience.

This has got to be the most themed free-spin.

I had a great experience with the food at KD. This chicken sandwich was really good. Probably not as good as the mexican, but close.

I don't do these, but this one was pretty, so I took a picture of it.

Cique Imagine was in the KD theater. Photography was not allowed during the performance. This was a very interesting abstract show. It combined skateboarding, aerialists, and drama, and some of your other typical circus acts.

This has got to be one of the largest Planet Snoopy lands. It took a decent amount of time just to explore it all.

I refrained.

Last ride of the day was on Dominator. This ride does not get enough attention; it's really solid and provides good forces.

Very picture-esk

Another view of Dominator. I wonder what they will do with the old driving school plot.

Well, that does it for our day at KD!

It's really a great park!
