Silver Dollar City Construction Update (2027 Addition)

With an official announcement just weeks away from Silver Dollar City on what the Marvel Cave Mining Co. is up to, we are back to take a quick look at the most recent developments.

Near the entrance to Wildfire, a large concrete structure is being poured at the bottom of the mine elevator.

This is very thick and deep. It will likely be a thematic element for the mine shaft elevator.

The entrance to the ride and queue is really taking shape as lighting begins to go in and landscape work continues near the AP stream that leads to the retention pool.

The station continues to take shape. Flooring is now going in on the ride level, and siding is going up on all sides of the building. It's worth noting that there are supports on the roof. It will be interesting to see if these are for signage or a thematic element.

Footers have now been buried up near AP, and rock work is in the later stages of progress in this area.

That is a LOT of footers and a LOT of rocks.

We are thinking this area of the ride may interact with the waterfall that is just beyond the retaining wall pictured in the bottom right.

We presume the poles (as pictured) near the pathway will hold netting to protect the pathways.

Beyond Powder Keg footers continue to take shape and dirt work is still progressing.

It appears if the decking by Powder Keg has progressed since our last check-in.

This shot is kind of blurry because of the distance, but it seems as if a couple of small buildings have formed. Likely for electrical and pumps.

One last quick look at the station! It's worth noting that tons of concrete work is going on just beyond this image. The largest footings seen yet, and potentially another structure is taking shape!

It will be interesting to see how things progress over the next few weeks. Stay tuned; this project is huge!
